Column Mode in several Text Editor Software Sun - Mar 7, 2010

My consideration when choose text editor software. It should be free and it should be has column mode editing feature. Here are some shortcuts to column mode in several Text Editor software.

  • Crimson Editor/Emerald Editor: ALT+C
  • Notepad++: SHIFT+ALT+(Arrow UP/DOWN) -or- ALT+Move Mouse UP/DOWN
  • SQLTools (Oracle Tools): SHIFT+CTRL+F8 (for column mode) -and- press F8 backup to normal mode
  • UltraEdit: ALT+C
  • PSPad: ???
